When I wrote ‘Eve of the Hunter Wars’ we laughed and decided that it ‘might’ be a book and there might be three other people who would read it. I was a nervous wreck the moment the publish button was pressed and thought I’d just done something profoundly embarrassing. While I whined online that I was an idiot, someone bought the book and the countdown to the magical three began. Little did I know it would turn into thousands of people (and counting) who would hit the download button and read what ultimately became many books.
I’m grateful to every single person who has downloaded the books and read every review a little nervously. Luckily the vast majority of reviews are positive, which inspires me to keep writing the next book, but there’s one fan who’s taken her support a quantum step forward. She’s amazed me with her talent and I marvel at her enthusiasm and creativity.
Angel and her husband go to horror conventions across the U.S. and, as part of her hobby, she crafts awesome costumes. This coming June, Angel will unveil her Hunter costume at Walker Stalker Con. With her unbelievable talent, she’s designed and created a latex-based costume that breathes life into a vision that until now was only in our imagination. Angel is kindly sending me pictures of her art as it’s being designed and built and we’ll certainly show you the start to end images, but for now here’s just a few.
Just as I am encouraged by every person who takes the time to get in touch about the books, I am inspired by this talented woman! She’s doing something I never expected anyone to do. She’s bringing into reality something I can only express in writing. I’m intrigued to see what she sees and so far her vision is perfect! I love the series I’m writing and knowing someone else can see what I see makes the hours of hard work and late nights worth every tired moment the next day.
Angel is a star and I want to share her incredible skill, vision and hard work with you. Give her a round of applause for being awesome!!!
