Scary Christmas!

Scary Christmas!

Santa - Jason

Nah, I’m just kidding. The countdown to Christmas has well and truly begun. I’m not talking about the twelve days after Santa visits, but the inevitable rush to get everything done before the entire collapse of the Western world, otherwise known as the twenty-fifth of December!

I can remember looking forward to Christmas as a kid. It meant presents and junk food and plenty of it. As I got older it transitioned into that awkward time when you had to negotiate just how much time you were obligated to spend with the extended family. Being older still, it’s that time when you try to work out when it’s safe to join traffic queues and buy food. Everywhere seems to become increasingly manic the closer you get to that scary date.

This Christmas, like the last one, I’ll be writing and trying to ignore the merry hell the world has become. I didn’t work on ‘The Locke Files’ like I said I would, instead I’m busy destroying the world with an alien invasion of sorts. The first book of the Navigator series, ‘Enemy Lines‘, is well underway. This story is so high-octane energy I’ve lost track of how many fights these guys and gals have been in.

While you sock back egg nog and eat turkey, spare a thought for the lunatic writer who’s happily destroying the human race. It’ll be a busy time for me and my laptop. I’ve been looking forward to some uninterrupted time to focus on this story and hopefully it’ll be ready for release in the new year. When I’m done, I’ll get back to those Horsemen. I know what happens in book three now, ‘Battlefront‘, and I just know Gears is gonna be pissed about it.

But before I disappear into my hermit’s nest, I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and New Year. Thank you for sticking with me throughout 2015 and I hope to keep you entertained in 2016.

Stay well and enjoy the season, whether it’s with family, friends or on your own. For me, it’s time to kick back and hang out in my imaginary worlds, and I could really do with the break!

Happy holidays to all!
